CLASS LEVELS:

I- Carefully designed for babies learning to sit and crawl, Tiny Twist I provides our littlest scooters with active learning activities that focus on whole baby development. They are given opportunities to move, reach, and grasp in a baby safe environment that is rich with color, sound and tactile experiences. These tots learn to recognize their name in class and react to identifying themselves to the teacher. They enjoy activities that promote visual tracking, core strength and balance needed for sitting and standing.

The curriculum includes activities that promote grip strength and hand coordination in grasping and releasing objects. Objectives include activities that promote crossing the mid-line and bilateral awareness needed for crawling and walking. They work on spatial awareness and positional comfort through gentle, developmentally appropriate rolling and inversion exercises. They also enjoy some of their first experiences in playing and learning with other babies and gain cornerstone lessons in social awareness through interacting with their NEW friends! These little ones are in the golden 6 months- year of life. There are amazing neural miracles taking place in this precious first year!

II & III- Our equipment and circuits designed specifically for little ones allow our “Parent/Child” classes to work on gross motor skills in a playful, socially enriched environment. Classes are based on progressive lesson plans and learning objectives are met through music, repetition, encouragement, and recognition.  Basic gymnastics skills are introduced such as rolling, swinging, and balancing. This is an excellent way for children to become comfortable with the gym environment as well as following instructions. It also allows for the development of social skills. (This is parent participation where an adult must go into the gym with the child. The * classes the child will go in independently and parents/ caregivers are not permitted in the gym for this lesson.)

At USA twisterz, we know that there is no better time for your children to grow and learn more rapidly than from the age of 3 until they enter Kindergarten. Our preschool classes and gymnastics lesson plans were designed with that in mind. All of our preschool gymnastics classes are taught in our main gym, in an area specifically designated with preschool equipment. Your child will participate in age-appropriate activities designed to enhance coordination, strength, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, and exploration while learning gymnastics on specially designed equipment just their size.

Our primary goal is to create a fun environment where we build a strong foundation of gymnastics skills to take them wherever they choose to go in sports. All of our preschool classes have an ideal child/instructor ratio which allows the instructor to have more time to focus on each child.

All children must be fully potty trained in order to enroll in classes without parent.

At USA twisterz, once your child enters 1st grade, they will be part of our school-age program. At this time the girls' and boys' classes are split into levels based on age. All of our carefully thought out classes are designed to foster your child's love of physical fitness and gymnastics in a fun, challenging environment.

Based on the premise that ALL children benefit from training their young bodies and minds, emphasis is placed on body awareness, speed, agility, flexibility, and strength. Classes are modeled after the USA Gymnastics level progressions. The athletes will train on the actual gymnastics apparatus for their level.

Gymnastics training enhances many other sports, and is a perfect way to help these athletes to become stronger and more flexible while learning new skill progressions. We cover a multitude of different drills each class which when performed consistently help your child master skills appropriately.
